Why Is Traveling To India so expensive !

Although it's going in a loss, it's still our national airline?

1) Firstly Air India is the benchmark for flight rates on domestic routes. Other private airline pitch in their fares in comparison to Air India's fare.

2) Air India has large number of employees and typically in-efficient government policies which makes decision making slower in a dynamic air travel business.

3) Most important is that it is a full service airline. Indigo or AirAsia do not even have entertainment system and the food is paid with only snacks available.Also baggage allowances are very low on budget airlines and Air Asia does no even provide check in luggage. At least in the above two department Air India is way better and the slight higher cost of ticket is worth it.
